FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions1. Where am I?You're at the Arcade owned and operated by frag-net.com. It's full of games, modifications and game demos. A lot of things exclusive to the site make this possible.2. Can I play these on-line? As in multi-player?Yes. Most games in the Arcade have the ability to be played on-line and it's like a giant LAN party all over the net. No port-forwarding required either. Create a server and in it'll show up in the server-browser for each game right away. This cutting edge technology is enabled by any game running using FTEQW.3. My mouse input isn't great! What gives?Depends on your browser. This is sadly not our bug. Contact your web-browser vendor and ask them to up their support for internet games. 4. I want to host/play multiplayer games for people on an actual LAN using the Arcade. How?You're better off setting up a dedicated server for FTEQW and connecting to it directly. There's a workaround for being able to differentiate between different clients/hosts behind a NAT, but that also advertises your entire local network topology in order for us to do our work.This site is a service to reduce friction for those playing over the Internet. If you're at a cool LAN party, share different native games and mods for your computers. That's the spirit of the LAN, anyway. Tip: Once hosting a dedicated server, you can set /sv_public 2 in the server console to make it accessible to other players on the Arcade and more! 5. Can you add [...] game?Games are added to the Arcade when they're deemed playable and are of a certain standard. We're always working on cool things to be added, that will go on as long as this site is alive. |
